Material created and accumulated by the University of Waterloo Library while assessing and addressing noise issues in the Davis Centre Library. Primarily includes material related to the Davis Centre Library Exam Study Zone pilot project launched in 2009 such as an executive summary, final report, and report with an overview of results and outline of next steps. Also includes a summary of noise issues in the David Centre Library in 2010.

A certificate issued by Stéphane Dion, then Leader of the Liberal Party of Canada, to the Returning Officer for the electoral district of Kitchener-Waterloo confirming that Andrew Telegdi had the endorsement of the Liberal Party of Canada. This certificate was signed by Stéphane Dion in Ottawa, Ontario and was likely issued after Telegdi was nominated as the candidate to represent the Library Party in the riding of Kitchener-Waterloo in the 2008 Canadian federal election.

A flyer invitation for the Kitchener-Waterloo Nomination Night held at the Transylvania Club in Kitchener, Ontario on October 19, 2000. This event was held to nominate a candidate to represent the Liberal Party in the riding of Kitchener-Waterloo in the 2000 Canadian federal election. The speaker and special guest of the event was Shelia Copps, Member of Parliament representing Hamilton East and Minister of Canadian Heritage. The flyer features a picture of Andrew Telegdi on the front and a form for individuals to submit if they wanted to participate in Telegdi’s subsequent election campaign on the back.

A promotional notebook published in 1912 by the Alaska Feather & Down Co., Montreal, used by Dorothy Russell to record movies, plays and concerts she attended in Kitchener, Ont., Toronto, Sarnia, Chatham and Chicago, 1921-1928. Included are the names of actors and actresses, the theatre and the date.

Notebook of a European tour.

File consists of one notebook used as a diary by Albert L. Breithaupt from June 10 to August 29, 1896, while on a trip to England, Scotland and Germany, with family members. The first entries are written in Berlin, Ontario. Of note is the entry for June 10, 1894 that gives an account of the last Sabbath in the "old church". Albert paraphrases the speech given by his mother, Catharine, with her recollections of the Sunday School in Berlin.

Two images of a polygonal house from Maple, Ontario, built ca. 1840-1842, and one image of a polygonal house from Duclos Point, Ontario built ca. 1888. One of the H.5 (Maple) images is in the books, while the other Maple image is a variation. The H.6 image (Duclos Point) is not pictured, but only listed and described in the books.

Two images of miscellaneous octagonal buildings. The building "M.1" is an office building in Calabogie, built ca. 1875-1890, and the building M.2 is the front of a series of stalls in the Carp Agricultural Society Fair Grounds, built before 1900 (only listed and described in the books).

One image of the Cherry Valley School, built ca. 1863. The picture is a copy of one that was taken ca. 1908 and the caption on the verso reads: "School was built in 1863. Lot 5, Concession 9. File consists of material relating to the publicity of the opening of Plant 6 in Kitchener's industrial park in 1966. Includes incoming and outgoing correspondence and memoranda, copies of news releases (some edited), 15 photographs of the plant (including several aerial shots) and the opening ceremonies, and a brochure about the plant. File also includes a typed copy of the remarks presented by Hon. Stanley J. Randall (Ontario Minister of Economics and Development), and a typed copy of the remarks presented by Hon. C.M. Drury (Minister of Industry).

Material created or accumulated by Andrew Telegdi during his tenure as a Member of Parliament related to the official opening of six buildings in the Region of Waterloo that provided two hundred and forty-four units of affordable housing under the Canada-Ontario Affordable Housing Program. Andrew Telegdi attended this event and delivered a speech. Records include an invitation, event itinerary, a media advisory, a press release, speaking notes, and other textual material.
