            Material created or accumulated by Andrew Telegdi during his tenure as an Elected Alderman representing the City of Waterloo related to an agreement made between Canadian National Realty (CNR) and the City of Waterloo on November 4, 1985. The agreement involved a land exchange and a commitment by CNR to construct a building at the corner of Regina Street and William Street in Waterloo, Ontario to house the new city hall. However, Telegdi and others contested the land sale price and were concerned about the discovery of coal tar on the construction site and later in the regional water pumping station and wells. Records include correspondence, reports, and notes.

The file includes one signed letter from Karen Redman, Member of Parliament representing Kitchener, congratulating Telegdi on receiving a Legacy of Leaders Award for the City of Waterloo.             In addition, the file contains program statistics and an anonymous letter from a federally sentenced women about the intrusive nature of prison searches. Moreover, the file contains a list of issues at the facility written by an unknown individual that notably asserts Indigenous inmates are over-represented in the general population and maximum secure unit and that certain behaviours are more strictly enforced with Indigenous inmates causing them to be frequently segregated.
