This file consists of photocopies made for K.M. McLaughlin by the National Archives of Canada and consists of documents pertaining to the Acadian Club raid and the attempt to gain restitution from the government. The file contains copies of letters by N.A. Zick, President of the Acadian Club, W.G. Weichel, M.P., Sir Sam Hughes, Minister of Militia and Defence, and others, as well as a memorandum of damage done and recommendation of the Court of Inquiry. It also contains 2 photocopied chapters from Ontario and the First World War, 1914-1918: a collection of documents.

File consists of three architectural drawings of the building of the Berlin [Kitchener] Y.M.C.A. at 22 Queen Street North. Includes a side elevation, main and upper floor plans, and details of the locker room.

The Bechler family fonds contains records created and accumulated by the Bechler family documenting life in Berlin (later Kitchener). Records include textual records and graphic material, predominantly photographs from an album. Records also contain confirmation certificates, marriage certificate, press clippings, and cards.

Material relating to members of the Hoffman, Barnes, Schiedel, Bowlby, Davison and Carlisle families, primarily photographs. Includes correspondence, clippings, ephemera, photographs, including snapshots taken during early construction of the Westmount area of Kitchener, Ontario.

One undated photograph showing a Breithaupt Leather Co. truck in front of the Shipping Dept. at the tannery, which was located in Kitchener, Ontario.

Consists of one group photograph of a construction crew, purportedly for Bridgeport School. They are posed with a sign: "John V. Gray Construction Co. Ltd, General Contractors, head office Toronto ...."

One photograph of the Budds Department Store annual picnic, held August 20, 1947. The photograph shows 82 people, including men, women, and children. The picnic attendees appear to include the owners and employees of the three Budds Department Store locations, as well as their families. The photograph was taken outside in an undisclosed location and the subjects appear relaxed and informal.

Collection includes photographs taken by Charles Dickens Creighton of Ontario, Quebec, British Columbia, France and England all around the turn of the 20th century. These include primarily landscapes and architectural features. Also included are 11 Kelsh plotter aerials of Kitchener from the 1960's.

Materials created or accumulated by the Reive Family, especially Dr. Wilfred G. Reive and Mabel M. Reive during the moving, purchasing, design, and construction of their family home at 178 Claremont Avenue. Includes invoices and cheques, architectural drawings, and family photographs.

File consists of one photograph of the employees of the head office of the Dominion Life Assurance Company in Waterloo, Ontario. The photograph was taken July 1939. The employees are standing in front of the building at 14 Erb Street West.

Fonds consists of materials created by Dominion Rubber, and later Uniroyal, primarily relating to the activities at the Dominion Tire plant on Strange Street in Kitchener as well as to the planning and implementation of the Uniroyal world junior curling championship.

Includes a mock liberty bond for the defence of workers arrested protesting, a card promoting socialist industrial unionism, a handbill outlining union desires, a letter from Canada Furniture Manufacturers regarding an adjustment to pay rates, a handbill encouraging furniture workers to unionize, and a photocopy of a letter to Herman Kreuger.

Includes materials from Kaufman Rubber, as well as local and national history materials accumulated by Good. Fonds contains time books, ephemera, clippings, catalogues, rubber information and strike materials from Kaufman Rubber as well as materials relating to World War Two, Kitchener history and Canadian politics.

Records relating to the history, administration, and operations of Greb Industries Limited and its predecessors, the Greb Shoe Company Limited and the Berlin Shoe Manufacturing Company Limited, as well as its subsidiary companies. Includes letters patent and by-laws, minutes, financial statements, annual reports, correspondence and memorandum, legal documents, press clippings, newsletters, reports, presentations, advertisements, photographs, ephemera, and audio and video recordings.

One photograph of a section of King Street, Waterloo, Ont. showing recently completed paving work by Standardite Paving. Also visible in the photograph are streetcar tracks, early street lights and automobiles.

Fonds consists of material relating to the administration and operation of the Lang Tanning Company in Kitchener Ontario, from 1888 to 1974. Contains minutes, agreements, clippings and a photograph album. Also contains a colour photocopy of a site plan from 1938. Includes 24 photographs.

One photograph mounted on cardboard of the Municipal Council of the town of Berlin, dated 1909. The black and white photograph shows 15 adults dressed in suits and posed seated or standing in front of an ornately painted backdrop.

Among the subjects are three individuals who would later serve as mayor of Berlin or Kitchener following its 1916 name change: William Daum Euler (1914-1917), David Gross Jr. (1917-1919), and Nicholas Asmussen (1925 -1926). William Daum Euler was also elected to the House of Commons of Canada (1917) and Nicholas Asmussen to the Legislative Assembly of Ontario (1919-1926). Both represented Waterloo North, Ontario in their Federal political office.

File consists of one film reel showing the exterior and operations of the R. Forbes Co. woollen mill in Hespeler (Cambridge), Ontario. The mill would later become the Dominion Woollen and Worsted Mill.

Fonds consists of one daybook from The Standard Life Assurance Company, believed to have been kept by Samuel Daniel Buckberrough. Also includes a clipping about the January 21, 1904 snow storm in Kitchener.

The Sims family collection encompasses records of the Sims and Cook, Davidson and Garden families retained by members of the two family branches that came together when Harvey James Sims and Florence Katherine Roos married in 1902. Their Sims and Davidson forbears were equally significant in the history of the Waterloo-Wellington area and in the growth and development of agriculture, education, business and government. Harvey James Sims and Florence Katherine Roos were deeply involved in their local community of Berlin, (later Kitchener) Ontario and their own records contain significant additions to our knowledge of local personalities and affairs. Harvey was a childhood and lifelong friend of William Lyon Mackenzie King; they wrote and visited each other regularly. King's sister Bella was also a close friend of Florence from school days on.

Audio reel recordings of séances held under the supervision of medium Thomas Lacey as well as other events, messages, and music. The séances were held primarily in Kitchener and Waterloo, Ontario although some were held in other areas in Ontario and the Unites States of America. Prior to donation, some of the reels were transferred to audio cassettes. The audio cassettes are also included in the collection. Also includes a cue card index to the séances and a notebook listing séances held at 362 Frederick St. in Kitchener, Ontario.
