A white and blue cotton twill jacket from Waterloo College and Associate Faculties worn by Robert Judd (BASc ’63) as an undergraduate student in 1958. The jacket displays Waterloo College identification on the front, including the school name, coat of arms, and motto Veritas omnia vincit, with the word "Engineering" printed across the back indicating Robert's program of study. The jacket was manufactured by Beaver Fine Outerwear and is regarded as the earliest known University of Waterloo jacket.

SCA maintains collections that document the experiences of students, faculty, and staff at the University of Waterloo. This includes print runs of Imprint, Gazette, and mathNews, and photographs taken as part of the University’s Graphic Services. The department holds a selection of school apparel and general ephemera, as well as the records of the Faculty Association (FAUW), the Librarians' and Archivists' Association of the University of Waterloo, and Glow Centre for Sexual and Gender Diversity (formerly the Gay Liberation Organization of Waterloo). SCA is also home to newsletters published by the University of Waterloo Staff Association and a variety of University of Waterloo Oral Histories.
