Biographical history
The Faculty Association of the University of Waterloo (FAUW) was founded in 1957 to "represent the interests of faculty members in a wide range of areas that affect them at the University." Work of FAUW has included negotiating a Memorandum of Agreement with the University, advising faculty members, and co-sponsoring the annual Hagey Lectures.

Fonds consists of materials created by the Faculty Association of the University of Waterloo (FAUW). This includes official governance records such as constitution and bylaws, minutes, committee files, board of director files, and materials relating to the Hagey lectures.

Arrangement
Original arrangement and most file titles have been maintained. Title revisions are indicated at the file level and have been limited to those that expand acronyms or align titles with other like titles. Any dates included in original file titles have been moved to the dates of creation area unless removal significantly altered original titled assigned by FAUW. File numbers 221, 274, 546, 549, 551 and 577 not used.
