Fonds consists of one diary maintained by Emma Clough of Hudson, New York from the period January 10-March 19, 1884. Emma travels to Washington after visiting friends in New York city and her diary details her tourist activities in both cities. In Washington she meets President Arthur as well as Blanche K. Bruce the first Black Senator, Frederick Douglass, Belva Lockwood, Helen Gougar, Susan B. Anthony and others. Along with shopping, visiting acquaintances and attending social functions, in early March of 1884 Emma begins to attend suffrage meetings which are detailed in the diary.

Ontario gravel pit plans collection.
Collection consists of 82 plans of gravel pits in Ontario. The plans have been collected by Wayne Caston, and he was involved in consulting in many of the projects. The records in this finding aid consist of information taken from an Excel spreadsheet created by Caston with details on each of the plans. A printout of the spreadsheet is also present in the collection. Plans are listed in the order originally provided by the donor on the spreadsheet.

Five land grants from the Department of Indian Affairs granting promised Indigenous lands. The grants are made out to Benjamin Franklin Mutchmor (200 acres), Elizabeth Mutchmor (175 acres), Charles Woodward (100 acres), and Mary Rowe (100 acres). The lands granted were to be for the use of the Ojibwe and Odawa of Manitoulin Island.

The book also includes pasted and set in recipes taken from magazines and newspapers. Many of the recipes are indicated as being from other women, and names include Mrs. Baker, Bertha, Mrs. McDonald, Mrs. McCollough, Mrs. Duchene, Mémé Langlois, Mrs. McKee, Mrs. Laramie, Mrs. Martin, Mrs. McClelland. All of the recipes are for food, excepting one which is a remedy for rheumatism. The Five Roses Cook Book is also included. The collection also includes personal passports of Ann Lauzon and Helen Lauzon.

Posters from the History of Contraception Museum.
Collection consists of two posters from the History of Contraception Museum. One poster shows a variety of styles of IUDs and the other shows the history of birth control methods. Also includes a brochure from the museum that identifies some of the contraceptive devices.
Collection consists of five advertisements for Lanteen diaphragms and spermicidal jelly. The advertisements each feature a "curiosa of conception" which includes a fact about conception or childbirth and an accompanying woodcut illustration. Illustrations are by Antonio Frasconi.

Kitchener-Waterloo Young Men's Christian Association
Collection consists of two scrapbooks maintained by William Phillips. The first includes clippings from newspapers and magazines that date from 1890 to 1914. Included are articles on topics relating to spiritualism, advertisements for mediums, and advertising for spiritualism products including the Ouija board. These materials are glued into "A History of Europe" and most clippings feature underlining of important sections.
The second scrapbook includes both clippings as well as handwritten notes from the spirit world. The notes were sent from friends and family of William Phillips including his wife Elizabeth, sister Fanny, brother John Edward and father Joseph. The notes primarily came through medium P.L.O.A. Keeler at Lily Dale. Most of the clippings are advertisements for publications relating to spiritualism and the occult.

Fonds consists of material related to the family of J.B. English of Plattsville, Ontario. Includes a store ledger dated 1916-1923; two 19th century photographs; and a folder of genealogical information including a family tree.
English Family
Fonds consists of material accumulated and kept by Ross Dixon relating to his entrepreneurial interests, career, and personal life, and to the philanthropic activities of Ross and Doris Dixon. The material documents some aspects of his personal interests and childhood, his early career, and his career in industrial relations at Uniroyal Canada (formerly the Dominion Rubber Company).
A significant portion of the fonds relates to the businesses he formed outside of his professional career, the Westmount Construction Company and Westmont Enterprises Limited, for the period from the late 1940s to the early 1970s. These records document trends in suburban home-building and design during that time and include a large number of architectural drawings.
The fonds is not comprehensive, lacking documentation relating to the formation and administration of the Westmount Construction Company and Westmont Enterprises Limited and containing only a small amount of material relating the other area of his entrepreneurial activities, investment and financial services.

Fonds consists of material relating to the career of H.N.B.Hynes, from his work as a student at the Univeristy of London in the late 1930s through his time as a professor of biology at the University of Waterloo until his retirement in the 1980s. Includes material relating to his work on stonefiles in the British Isles, his work for the British government in Trinidad and East Africa, his time at the University of Liverpool including work on river pollution, and his career at the University of Waterloo, including his sabbaticals in Australia.

Material relates to Godfrey's efforts to learn about and raise awareness of acid rain and generate support for the petition for action on acid rain among Muskoka-area associations and individuals, as well as her communication with government representatives about the issue. Fonds consists of the correspondence of H. Stanley Smart to his family in Grassie, Ontario, written while he was stationed in England during World War II. Includes letters, airgraph letters, postcards, a telegram, and a roll of honour. The correspondence covers Smart's time in Europe from the first letter after his arrival in England (dated December 20, 1942) to the last letter before he sailed back to Canada (dated December 19, 1945), and describes his daily activities, training, social outings, leaves, health, and general news about the war.

Fonds consists of records accumulated by Marcel Pequegnat in his professional roles as superintendent of the Kitchener Water Commission, vice-chairman of the Grand River Conservation Commission, and president of the Arthur Pequegnat Clock Company; and records collected by him relating to the history of these bodies.
Records relating to the Kitchener Water Commission and its predecessor, the Berlin Water Works Company, span from ca. 1887 to 1961, and are mainly from 1898 to the 1930s. Records relating to the Grand River Conservation Commission cover the period from 1939 to 1943. Includes correspondence, contracts and other legal documents, reports, minutes, architectural and technical drawings, photographs and other visual material, press clippings, ephemera, and advertising material.

Fonds consists of negatives and proof prints taken by Robert T.G. Nicol under the name of Personal Studio between 1946 and 1996. Studio, home portraits and candid photography of families and weddings, as well as commercial jobs for many local industries and businesses document comprehensively the growth and changes in the way of life in the Waterloo Region in the post-war era. Many nationally important companies employed Nicol, some as their "house photographer": these include B.F. Goodrich, Budd Automotive, Mutual Life Insurance Co., Bell Telephone, Electrohome, Raytheon, IBM, and Greb Shoes. Many types of businesses are represented: storefronts and interiors of banks, clothing, department, music, furniture and grocery stores, dairies, factories, restaurants, hotels and motels, churches, service stations, car dealerships, service industries, construction trades, and more.

Fonds consists primarily of records relating to the operation and activities of the Grand River Conservation Commission from 1938 to 1966, mostly records maintained by successive secretary-treasurers, but including some chairman's files (William Philip), and operations files. Includes a wide range of documentation, including correspondence, financial records, minutes, personnel records, reports, maps and plans and environmental monitoring records. Documentation includes construction of the Shand and Conestogo Dams, property acquisition and management, relations and interactions with municipalities and government departments at the provincial and federal levels, flood management and monitoring, implementation and management of health care, unemployment insurance, provincial and federal taxes, rental and leasing of cottage lots and other properties, reforestation and nursery operations, management of motor vehicles and other equipment.
