        Three clippings regarding Leavine in his capacity an alderman in the 1940s. One from the Kitchener Daily Record, dated Tuesday, December 31, 1940, reports that Leavine had been named chairman of the finance committee of City Council at the pre-inaugural caucus held on Dec. 30, 1940. Another, also from the Record, dated December 8, 1942 includes names and portraits of Kichener's newly elected 1943 city council, including Leavine. The final clipping is undated and outlines the results of the municipal election in Kitchener during which Leavine was once again elected to city council by 6,169 votes, receiving more votes than any other individual elected to the Kitchener council that year.

        File consist of clippings and correspondence related to the Clark family. Includes commemorative articles and an obituary for Mrs. J. Ernest Clark who died in 1943.

        Also includes clippings about W.H. Clark including his activities as Chairman of the City of Toronto Planning Board and as President of the Community Planning Association of Canada. This file also includes an article written by W.H. Clark in 1952 on the subject of urban planning. Other clippings relate to W. H. Clark's activities as President of the Welfare Council of Greater Toronto. Another clipping reports on W.H. Clark's appointment as assistant general manager of the Head Office of the Huron & Erie Mortgage Corporation and The Canada Trust Company. Another clipping reports on the retirement of Mr. W.H. Clark from this position as assistant general manager in 1959. On his retirement Mr. W. H. Clark was appointed by the Huron & Erie Mortgage Corporation and The Canada Trust Company as a member of the Toronto Advisory Board.

        Another clipping from April 1929 takes the form of the wedding announcement of Mr. and Mrs. W.H. Clark. An additional clipping contained in this file relates to Mrs. W.H. Clark's activities as a member of the executive of the National Council Y.M.C.A.
        This file also includes clippings relating to the appointment of S.E. Clark to the Board of Directors of Imperial Flo-glaze Paints Ltd. Other clippings report that Mr. and Mrs. J.E. Clark are celebrating their golden wedding anniversary. An obituary and commemorative articles for S.E. Clark, who died in 1961, are also contained in this file.

        An obituary for Florence Mabel Pinnock dated Dec. 2, 1972 is also included among the items in this file.

        This file also contains commemorative articles written after the death of Dr. H.M. Cassidy, who was the Director of the University of Toronto School of Social Work. He was also an international figure in social welfare service and was once in charge of the entire training program of the United Nations Relief and Rehabilitation Administration.

        Another clipping reports on the lifetime achievements of Mrs. John Falkner who was active in municipal government bodies.
        Other materials contained in this file include the business card of J. Ernest Clark while he was Canadian Manager of Thomas J. Lipton.
        Some personal correspondence of the Clark family is also among the items in this file and includes letters received by H.W. Clark from his brother Jeffrey in 1927, 1929, and 1954.

        A letter to W. H. Clark from the Secretary of the Canadian-American Affiliates of the Foreign Policy Association (1936) is also contained in this file expressing the latter's regret that they will be losing the Clarks from the Canadian-American group.

        File consists of clippings, a snapshot, typescript notes, and correspondence related to the Holy Ann Prayer Shed and Well. The majority of clippings in this file relate to the controversial property development proposed for the Thornhill site and the refusal of Elizabeth Smith, the owner of the house, to surrender it to the developer who owns the land it stands on.

        The typescript notes and some of the clippings describe the life of Ann Preston, who emigrated from Ireland in 1830 and worked as a servant in Dr. Reid's family home on the Thornhill Estate, as well as the origins of Ann's Prayer Shed and Well. A photograph which appears to depict Ann's Prayer Shed is also contained in this file. Some of the correspondence contained in this file (1973) took place between Mr. and Mrs. Clark and William G. Davis, Premier of Canada, and relates to Holy Ann's cottage and Annswell, located on the on the property.

Harold Clark, including the offer of purchase and a copy of the valuation of the property (or the Shepherd Estate). Included are sketches of a survey of lots 1, 2 &3 of the Clarks' property, reports about the land and the sale, a poster produced to advertise the auction sale of the Clarks' estate furniture, and a clipping reporting that a senior citizens' complex will be built on property adjoining Thornhill United Church.

        File consists of a typescript leaf entitled "Background Information" which contains information about the date, time and venue for the fiftieth wedding anniversary of Clare and Harold Clark as well as information on those who have been invited and the names of the hosts. This anniversary celebration took place on April 29, 1979 at the Guild Inn in Scarborough and was hosted by Rosa and Spencer Clark. Copies of typescript invitation lists for this event are also included in this file.

        This file also includes manuscript speech notes of Harold Clark which he prepared for the occasion of his fiftieth wedding anniversary and two typescript leaves outlining the major interests of Clare Clark under three categories - 1. Youth Work; 2. Adult Education; 3. Canada's Native People.

        Also in the file is typescript tribute made by Prof. Chas. E. Hendry, Dean Emeritus, Faculty of Social Work, University of Toronto on the occasion of the golden wedding anniversary of Harold and Clare Clark in 1979.

        Two clippings which include references to the K-W Collegiate Institute where Dr. S.F. Leavine's eldest daughter, Desta Leavine, was a student. The first, undated, describes how Desta was one of three public speaking contest winners to address the K-W Kiwanis Club at one of their weekly luncheon meetings. Desta's speech focused on the Mary Celeste, a mystery ship of the last century found adrift and crewless in mid-Atlantic. The second clipping, from the July 7, 1945 edition of the Kitchener Record, includes promotion results for the K-W Collegiate .
