One anthology of poetry titled "Words: Poems Singapore and Beyond", edited by Edwin Thumboo. The anthology includes the poem "But for the Impossible Dream" by Rienzi Crusz.

The Women and Work collection consists of 74 contemporary British and European imprints which focus upon women and the workplace.

Included are autobiographical accounts, which range from Dorothy C. Keeley's The Crowded Stairs: Recollections of Social Work in Liverpool 1919-1940 (London: National Council of Social Services, 1961) to Sex work: Writings by Women in the Sex Industry (London: Virago Press, 1987). Other personal accounts include: The Life and Writing of a Working Woman (London: Virago Press, 1984) by Ada Nield Chew, which describes her work in the Women's Trade Union League and the Women's International League for Peace and Freedom; and Front Line Heroines: Stories of Ten Soviet Women (Soviet War News, 1945).

Commentaries on women in the workplace are represented by such titles as Women in Industry: a Marx House Syllabus (Southampton: Lawrence and Wishart Ltd., [n. d.]); Helping Women at Work: the Women's Industrial Council, 1889-1914 (London: Hutchison, 1985); and Willing Hearts and Ready Hands: the Labours and Triumphs of Earnest Women (London: Nelson, 1883).

The William Blake Collection consists of more than 200 titles of which the majority are facsimiles of Blake's works or privately-printed reprints and editions containing facsimiles of the illustrations. The collection also forms part of a larger collection devoted to joint painter-illustrator-author books that include followers of Blake, e.g. Palmer & Calvert, William Morris, Eric Gill, and David Jones.

One of the highlights of the William Blake Collection is the 1951 Trianon Press edition of William Blake's Jerusalem.

One textbook titled "Weaving a Country: Stories from Canadian Immigrants" by Wilma Maki. The textbook uses Rienzi Cruzs' poem "From Shovel to Self-Propelled Snow Blower: The Immigrant's Progress."

Voices is an annual anthology published by the University of Waterloo Women's Centre each year in recognition of International Women's Day featuring work submitted by University of Waterloo students.

The cover of the offprint features a drawing by Nancy-Lou Patterson illustrating the interpretations of Indian themes in the poetry of Duncan Campbell Scott and John Collier. The offprint was originally housed in a package titled, Tongass Tlingit: Tongass at Ft. Simpson.

Sphere was a quarterly newspaper published by members of the Arts Student Union (ASU) between 1993 and 1996. It was produced in response to calls for a new publication to fill the gap left by the former ASU newspaper, Arts Lion, which was published during the 1980s. Featuring news items, reviews and creative writing, the newspaper was intended for as a means of communication throughout the Arts Faculty.

Materials related to the second edition of James Walker’s book The Black Loyalists: the search for a promised land in Nova Scotia and Sierra Leone, 1783-1870. Includes correspondence related to the edition and promotional events, preface to the 1992 edition and corrections to it, biographical information about Walker, forms and agreements for the first and second edition of the book, author information sheets, correspondence about the reprint from the University of Toronto Press and other people and organizations, Walker’s copy of the letter of agreement from Toronto University Press, handwritten notes, letters relating copyright of the first edition of the book published by Longman International Education.

Also contains correspondence thanking Walker for reading and/or proofreading other manuscripts and cheques with payments for the service and correspondence related to Walker’s revision of the article “Transplanting Communities: Black women in Ontario, 1850s-1890” in The Canadian Historical Review.

The Rosa Breithaupt Clark Architectural Collection is the result of an endowment made by Herbert Spencer Clark in 1982 in memory of his late wife, Rosa Breithaupt Hewetson Clark, formerly of Kitchener. Included in purchases made through this endowment are exemplary treatises from the sixteenth to the twentieth century supportive of the School of Architecture's cultural history emphasis.

Awards made in 1987 and 1990 by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) of Canada under their programme supporting the development of specialized research programmes enabled the collections to grow significantly. The first grant was dedicated to the purchase of landmark titles in the history and theory of architecture. Since the discourse of architecture ultimately looks back to the Roman writer, Vitruvius, it was appropriate that the first acquisition using these funds was a rare edition of a Vitruvian treatise printed in 1536.

The second of the SSHRC grants was awarded in 1990 specifically to support the collection in an area of critical importance: architectural developments in Northern Europe and on the North American frontier which have a profound effect on architectural theory and urban development in Canada.

A third award made by SSHRC allowed the Library to purchase The Dictionary of Architecture issued by the Architectural Publication Society (1853-1892), described as a monument to nineteenth-century scholarship.

Past & Present was a published three times a year by members of the Departments of Anthropology, History, Political Science and Sociology at the University of Waterloo. The purpose of the publication was to promote communication about the arts between high school teachers and universities.

Air Force pamphlet; no. 10 published by the Royal Canadian Air Force. The pamphlet provides general information on a variety of topics to the next-of-kin or other relatives of Royal Canadian Air Force personnel reported missing, deceased, prisoners of war or interned. Topics include personal effects under Air Force control, dependents allowance and assigned pay, moneys on deposit in banks, claims for pension, dispatching letters and parcels, and war graves.

The pamphlet was likely received by Cameron Hill's parents, Britton and Grace Hill, while Cameron was held in custody as a prisoner of war.

The text inside the pamphlet is written in English and French on inverted pages.

Included is a newspaper clipping featuring a caricature by Jack Lefcourt that originally appeared in Now, a Toronto weekly publication, in 1994. The collection also contains UW – 1975–76, a tabloid produced by the University of Waterloo Information Services Department to provide general information about the University and its academic and extracurricular activities, as well as special Summer of 73 and Summer of 74 tabloid editions prepared for attendees of summer conferences and seminars held on campus.

Also included is a complete copy of Imprint, vol. 9, no. 8 (August 29, 1986), featuring the student newspaper’s orientation supplements, Arts and Features, which profile campus clubs, organizations, and activities. The collection additionally contains the University of Waterloo Times Campus Day ’94 edition, published March 15, 1994, which highlights Campus Day activities and features an illustration of Pounce de Lion riding a bicycle.

A book of prayers and catechism for the use of the Montagnais Indians by Jean Baptiste de La Brosse, a Jesuit missionary. This is one of the few books ever to be printed in the Montagnais dialect.
