General note

61-1390_008, 61-1390_009 and 61-1390_012 appeared on Page 3 of the Saturday, September 2, 1961 edition of the newspaper.

General note

Photo caption that accompanied published versions of 61-1390_008, 61-1390_009 and 61-1390_012: "OUT OF SEASON - Tobogganing in summer? It's possible, as Philip Harrison, 13, Freddie Hedrich, 11, and Trevor Harrison, 11, all of Breslau, show. All it takes is the urge, a toboggan and a mountain of sand and salt, such as a 2,500-ton Highways Department stockpile ready for winter sanding. It provides a reminder that when Labor Day comes, cold weather and real tobogganing can't be far behind."

General note

Sutton photography credit based on caption credit in newspaper.
