Several entries describe Betty’s work in British Columbia, family events, dances, a trip to Alaska, holidays, and Peg Forbes’s wedding to Colin Andrew (Joe) Wilson. The diary contains letters, invitations, lists, a patch, and press clippings including one titled, Girls advised to train for career and marriage published in The Globe and Mail on January 27, 1948.

Promotional materials created by Louis Jacob Breithaupt's political campaign to ask for the vote of his constituents during the election for the North Waterloo Local Legislature on May 23, 1899. Includes a letter in English and German, a leaflet with a drawing of the Premier of Ontario (Hon. A. S. Hardy), and the envelope in which everything was enclosed.
Envelope is addressed to Conrad [Haerle?] Esquire, from Wellesley, Ontario.

Collection consists of one undated typescript letter to Joseph Jefferson from Jan Larue in Iberia Parish, Louisiana. The letter requests Jefferson put in a good word for Larue. Also included is an undated photograph card of Joseph Jefferson, taken by Gilbert & Bacon studios in Philadelphia.

Inside the leaflet is a black and white profile shot of Calthrop.

File consists of records documenting activities related to the scholarship fund administered by the Kitchener-Waterloo Council of Friendship between 1958 to 1971 focused on providing financial aid to new, young Canadians for higher education purposes. Correspondence primarily between members of the Sommer family and Wilhelm and Helga Höpken. Wilhelm and Helga Höpken are Gisela Sommer’s brother and sister-in-law. Of special interest is a programme for an exhibit presented by the University of Guelph from January 12, 2001 to March 17, 2001 titled, The John & Gisela Sommer Collection: 40 years of collections at Gallery House Sol. The exhibit featured 111 items, mostly books and prints, collected by Ulrich and Gisela Sommer for their art gallery, Gallery House Sol. All of the items featured in the exhibit were subsequently donated to the University of Guelph.
