File contains a letter (1987) received by Clare Clark from André Renaud consisting primarily of family news. Also in the file is an obituary for Renaud, a photocopy of a commemorative article describing his lifetime achievements, and photocopies of correspondence sent to Renaud's wife Betty and other members of his family conveying sympathies after his death.

Dr. André Phillipe Renaud (1919-1988) was a professor at the College of Education at the University of Saskatchewan. In 1958 he founded the Indian and Eskimo Association of Canada and in 1963 he founded the Society for Indian and Northern Education. During his time at the University of Saskatchewan from 1961 to 1974 he became the Founder and first Director of the Indian Northern Education Program. In 1973 he received the Order of Canada for his work developing native education programs. Renaud died on Jan. 15, 1988 in Saskatoon.
