General note
Photo caption from published version of missing photo: "GRAND RIVER JAM - The big ice block between Freeport and Doon is reaching a critical flooding point brought on by mild weather. This photo [see 52-3572_005 for closest version], taken from Cressman's Woods looking toward the Pioneer Tower, shows the crux of the situation. The foreground shows the solidly frozen original river bed while the top half shows the water coursing its way over fields."
General note
Photo caption from published version of 52-3572_003: "SEA OF ICE - The picture, taken at the head of the ice jam not far from Freeport and looking toward Cressman's Woods, shows the mile and a half of ice chunks which are dammed. They are spread over fields far beyond the original river course."
