File consists of records which describe the lifetime achievements and activities of Mrs. Louise (nee Gates) Eddy (1890-1982) and her husband Mr. Sherwood Eddy known for their contributions to the YMCA movement and to international relations.

A number of clippings and typescript notes in this file document the contributions of Louise Eddy to the YMCA movement and to the Morgan County League of Women Voters, the American Association of University Women, Church Women United and the Board of the Sherwood Eddy Memorial YMCA. This file also includes personal correspondence received by Clare Clark from Louise Eddy in 1981.

Also contained in this file are clippings relating to the lifetime achievements of Dr. Sherwood Eddy. Other materials relating to Dr. Sherwood Eddy include a leaflet on the Sherwood Eddy Seminar of 1957, as well as a Symposium which took place in 1963 to pay tribute to the late Sherwood Eddy. It also includes an information booklet about Sherwood Eddy produced for the young members of the Sherwood Eddy Memorial Young Men's Christian Association in Jan. 1975.

Other items contained in this file include a studio portrait of Louise Eddy (n.d.), and a photograph depicting members of the Canadian Delegation to the World Youth Conference in London (n.d.) Among these delegates was Mrs. Harold Clark.

Collection consists of 169 19th century American photographs. Included are 115 carte-de-visites, 40 cabinet portraits, 2 albums, 11 miscellaneous photographs and 1 envelope of miscellaneous business and greeting cards.

Most are albumen type photographs depicting various people including infants, children, and adults. The photographs come from various studios across the United States though the majority come from studios in New York, Vermont, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Illinois. The photographs, since rehoused, were originally housed in two albums decorated with an intricate relief on the cover and a metal clasp lock.
