A binder containing 159 reproduced drawings of Pounce de Lion, the University of Waterloo alumni mascot, created by artist and University of Waterloo staff member Frank Esch. The illustrations depict Pounce de Lion in a wide range of poses, activities, and settings, from playing sports such as baseball and football to participating in campus life through studying, graduation, and Homecoming celebrations. Additional drawings show Pounce with anniversary cakes, in imaginative scenarios such as space travel, and alongside faculty banners representing Science, Environmental Studies, Mathematics, and other academic disciplines.

In addition to the artwork, the binder includes documentation relating to the management and use of Pounce imagery, including procedures for requesting and accessing mascot artwork, a partial index of drawings, and a printed copy of the mascot's trademark registration as filed with the Canadian Intellectual Property Office in 1987. Also included is a 1987 design for the Pouncewear logo, created for use on Pounce de Lion themed merchandise.

Two costume design renderings mounted on foamboard for Pounce de Lion, the University of Waterloo alumni mascot, created as part of the development of a revised mascot costume in 1991.

The first rendering, titled Pounce Mascot Design #2, depicts Pounce wearing a black t-shirt featuring University of Waterloo branding and black and white striped shorts. The illustration includes notes identifying Marian Marshall and Jocelyne Sobeski as the costume designers, records a rendering date of March 19, 1991, and outlines proposed revisions to the design, including enlarging the head, reducing the size of the feet, removing the t-shirt and eyelids, and modifying the facial features based on recommendations from Frank Esch.

The second rendering, dated May 9, 1991, depicts a revised version of the costume that incorporates many of the changes proposed in the earlier design. Pounce is shown wearing only black shorts and features a rounder face, no eyelids, and other refinements that more closely resemble the final costume ultimately produced. The illustration also includes detailed construction notes identifying materials and design elements such as plastic eyes and whiskers, attached paws and feet, and a soft foam tail, and records that the costume was designed by Marian Marshall and Jocelyne Sobeski, with the rendering based on the cartoon created by Frank Esch.

The gift served as a special acknowledgment of the unique circumstances faced by these cohorts, whose final years as students were disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic, while also commemorating their enduring connection to the university. Produced in a limited edition of 4,321 signed and numbered prints, this example is numbered 1.
