A graduation diploma awarded by the Kitchener and Waterloo Collegiate Institute, Kitchener, Ontario to Dorothy Etta Russell (nee White) on December 21, 1920 upon completion of the course prescribed for normal school entrance. The diploma is signed by John Shanz, Chairman of the [Waterloo County School] Board and D. Forsyth, Principal of the Kitchener and Waterloo Collegiate Institute. It includes a wax seal with the gold and black ribbons of the Institute.

It is possible that the older woman present could be Florence Annie Catherine Schantz or Sophie Emma Schantz, both of whom worked for Woolworth's.
