An album containing photographs of the Forbes family and their friends including Millicent Lyall Forbes, George Alexander Forbes, Peg Forbes, Betty Forbes, Bill Land, Jennifer Land, Janet Land, Thomas Land, and Greg Clark. Several photographs feature the Hillhead estate, Lake Tyson, the Toronto Hunt Club, and a party held at Dr. Biglow’s residence in honour of Greg Clark receiving an L.L.D. from the University of Western Ontario (now Western University) on June 4, 1960. Also includes a letter written by Janet Land to Dampa regarding an attached photograph of Bill and Betty Forbes along with their children.

RMS history photos.

File consists of photographs of the products, facilities, and people of RMS from 1918 until the late 1960's or early 1970's. Includes photographs of the products manufactured at RMS; photographs of the RMS facilities, including interior and exterior shots, as well as some photographs taken at other Uniroyal facilities (e.g. St. Jerome, Elmira); and photographs (including group portraits) of employees in various departments, such as office staff, engineering & drafting, tool makers, and the operating council, and employees at work.

Some photographs were taken for use in company publications and sales and marketing material. File also includes some contact prints and one page of ms. notes. Some photographs include ms. annotations on verso. Some duplicate photographs are present.

Speeches : university talks.

File consists of material relating to speeches and remarks made by Carl A. Pollock at the University of Waterloo (UW) for building and exhibit openings, convocation ceremonies, dinners and luncheons, senate meetings, contests, and other events.

Includes typed copies of Pollock's remarks (some annotated, some carbon copies), ms. notes, event programs (some annotated), approximately 21 pieces of incoming and outgoing correspondence, a UW press release, and two photographs of Pollock with students at an exhibit. File also includes press clippings about Pollock and about the University of Waterloo.

Research : reverse osmosis advertising.

File consists of material relating to the production of advertising material for the Reverse Osmosis Division of Electrohome. Includes photographs, copy negatives, contact sheets, and a slide of reverse osmosis systems and applications; single-sheet advertisements for ultrafiltration systems soluble oil waste treatment and for maple sap concentration by reverse osmosis; and blank letterhead. Some of the photographs depict reverse osmosis systems at Bud Automotive (Kitchener, ON), TRW Canada Ltd. (St. Catharines, ON), Schwitzer (Stratford, ON), and an unidentified plant in Windsor, ON.

Some photographs have been mounted on board and retouched. Duplicate photographs are present.

File consists of material relating to the Belmont Business Association, a zone change in the City of Kitchener, and the issue of parking in the Belmont neighbourhood. Includes correspondence, reports, handwritten and typed notes, meeting agendas, various types of notices, survey data, etc. File also includes photographs documenting the parking situation.

50th Anniversary speech.

Consists of Norman C. Schneider's remarks (manuscript, original) to the family on May 20, 1975 at the Charcoal Steak House on the occasion of his 50th wedding anniversary. It includes reminiscences about his family's history: the J.M Schneider home on Courtland Ave., births known as "Lantern night" with family members moving between four homes in a row bringing lanterns and hot water. Also includes a brief background on Ethel Schneider's family and how she came to live next door to Norman's family.

Manuscript (original) of an "old Berlin" talk given by Norman C. Schneider on January 23, 1975 to the Retired Business and Professional Men's Club at Kitchener Waterloo Y. Includes childhood memories of swimming holes, fishing, bicycles, climbing the water tower, Norman's first airplane ride, a description of the first plane to fly in Berlin, Ont. Information about Christoph Schneider and Charles Andrew Ahrens, and memories of William Lyon MacKenzie King are included, along with memories of childhood friends who became prominent citizens: Walter P. Zeller, Ivan Keffer, and Fred Bowman.
