Material accumulated by Andrew Telegdi during his tenure as a Member of Parliament related to Telegdi’s visit to the Republic of Hungary on the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of the Fight for Freedom. Telegdi visited Hungary between October 10-14, 2006. Records include invitations, programs, and briefing books containing itineraries, country profile sheets, press clippings, objectives, and information on the Parliament of Hungary and the chronology of parliamentary exchanges between Canada and Hungary. Also contains correspondence including a signed letter from Dénes Tomaj, Ambassador of the Republic of Hungary to Canada and three signed letters from Dr. Katalin Szili, Speaker of the National Assembly of Hungary.

File contains negatives depicting Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip's visit to Kitchener, as well as the re-dedication ceremony of the Kitchener cenotaph, during the Royal Tour of Ontario in 1973. Scenes include the Queen greeting various dignitaries including the Kitchener mayor, archdeacons, reverends, and veterans. Also included are views of the surrounding area and gathered crowd, as well as the Oxlea Tower, the Kitchener's Farmers’ Market and panorama shots of the event.

This issue of Past & Present contains an article titled, “An Indian View of Missions and Missionaries,” written by E Palmer Patterson. The periodical was originally housed in a package titled, Tongass Tlingit: Tongass at Ft. Simpson. The term Tongass is an anglicized variant name for the Taantʼa Ḵwáan. Fort Simpson, BC is now known as Lax-Kwʼalaams, BC.
