Photographs of a commercial building at the corner of King and Water taken decades apart. The first, from the 1900s, is a copy of a photo of the building when occuped The Berlin Granite & Marble Works. The second, taken in 1947, should the building occupied by TNT. Surplus Ltd.

Artesian Well on Caroline St., Waterloo.

Image of Waterloo PUC and town officials at the tapping of an artesian well on Caroline St. in 1919. The group is seen standing on either side of the well, which is gushing with water. The well was capped in 1934; the accompanying news story also shows the gusher resulting from this same well being struck during construction of Waterloo Town Square in 1961.

Three undated photographs of Dr. S.F. Leavine from his time in office with the City of Kitchener or in his capacity as M.P.P. for Waterloo North. Two of the photos, taken by the Kitchener-Waterloo Record, show Leavine in his office and at awards ceremony in honour of George W. Quick's service to the Kitchener Fire Department. The third photo, taken by Ontario Department of Travel and Publicity, Parliament Buildings, Toronto, Ont., shows Leavine as part of a group in the offices of the Minister of Planning and Development of the Province of Ontario, Hon. William McAdam Nickle.

File consists of material relating to the 1972 strike at the Dare Foods Limited biscuit plant in Kitchener, including the return of employees to work after the strike and the court case between the company and several employees regarding a breach of injunction. Includes newspaper clippings, internal and external correspondence and memoranda, notices and press releases from the company, a notice of motion and the decision regarding the court case (photocopies), photographs, reports and data on the numbers of employees returned to work, etc.

File also includes a program and ribbon from the 1920 Dominion Rubber Systems annual picnic, and the August 1, 1920, issue of the Keystone (newsletter for employees of Dominion Rubber System in Kitchener, Elmira, and Port Dalhousie).

It is not clear who accumulated the material in the file or for what purpose.
