      General note

46-275_001 and photo missing from envelope appeared on Page 3 of the Thursday, October 31, 1946 edition of the newspaper.

      General note

Photo caption from published version of 46-275_001 and photo missing from envelope: "FALL'S CARPET OF LEAVES - In the city leaves generally create much extra work on the part of householders but frequently the fallen leaves weave a beautiful golden carpet, as is the case in the top photograph [missing from envelope] of a home on Euclid Ave. and William St. in Waterloo. In the country fallen leaves blanket the ground and form a protective coating for the roots of tall trees. The lower scene [46-275_001] was photographed in Westmount bush."
