General note
Photos missing from envelope appeared on Page 3 of the Tuesday, October 16, 1951 edition of the newspaper as part of the article: "Rotarians See Tot They Plan To Heal."
General note
Photo caption from first missing photo [see 51-3047_001 for closest version]: "FIRST TREATMENT - Two-year-old Inara Leitis will be the first child to receive major treatment at the K-W Hospital under Rotary Club sponsorship. Prior to this time serious cases were sent to Toronto. She was walked before the Rotary dinner meeting yesterday by nurse Ursula Emery."
General note
Photo caption from second missing photo [see 51-3047_002 for closest version]: "THE TROUBLE - Gordon Friesen, hospital administrator, points to the right thigh of the child, which appears on left side of X-ray plate. The ball joint in the hit is out a considerable distance from the socket in which it should fit. Different methods of treatment will be tried to correct the joint and eliminate the child's limp. The other leg is normal."
