General note
Photo caption from published versions of 53-5109_001 and 53-5109_002: "FAMILY PROJECT - William Little (right) [53-5109_001] of Preston had little money but plenty of know-how when he started a machine shop in the basement of his home. He is shown here working on a die made from part of a bed, bicycle and washing machine. His son David (left) [53-5109_002] is shown operating a home-made machine which punches out part for air-conditioning units. Even Mrs. Little operates a machine when business is brisk."
