Photo caption for published version of missing photo [see 48-1014_001 for closest version]: "TURNS FIRST SOD - Michael Paleczny, Waterloo Seperate School Board member, is seen turning the first sod before excavation starts on the $100,000 Our Lady of Lourdes School in the Rudy St. extension area. The ceremony was held late yesterday afternoon following prayers by Rev. Jerome Ruth, chairman of the board. Left to right are Charles Stroh, Leo Whitney, Norman Solomon, Father Ruth, Mr. Paleczny, Reinhold Lang, all board members."
