Strange Street pump house : interior.

File consists of two photographs (plus duplicates) and two contact prints of the interior of the Strange Street pumping station. Photographs show pumping machinery, including an 8 horsepower, 6 cycle Ruston diesel engine and English electric generators.

The Petworth Project fonds.

Consists of material relating to the research for, writing and publication of two volumes relating to the Petworth Emigration Scheme: Assisting Emigration to Upper Canada : the Petworth Project, 1832-1837 / by Wendy Cameron and Mary McDougall Maude, and English immigrant voices : labourers letters from Upper Canada in the 1830's, both of which were published by McGill-Queen's University Press in 2000.

The files retained by the Project fall into three broad categories :

1) the "results of genealogical research in England and the family history files used in creating the list in Part 2 of Assisting emigration;
2) files relating to research in Canadian genealogical resources;
3) files dealing with the process and creation of the books."

Included are correspondence among the primary researchers and to and from individuals relating to families and individual emigrants, data sheets and electronic databases relating to Petworth emigrants and sponsors, photocopies of original correspondence and documents, research notes, drafts and working papers relating to the editing of the final manuscripts.

City Hall : old City Hall, copy.

Copy negative of a photo of a painting by Reuben Jukes of Kitchener done in 1924 of the 1869 city hall, which was being torn down in Fall 1924.

The painting now hangs in Kitchener City Hall at 200 King Street West.

Includes correspondence and memoranda, ms. notes, maps and folded site plans (and some photocopies of same), photocopies of extracts of zoning by-laws, copies of forms, a draft purchase agreement, and other material. File consists of photographs orignally in an album created to illustrate the history of CAP Communications and CKCO-TV. Subjects of photographs include: television production equipment and facilities, television personalities on set, special events (including a visit from Pierre Elliott Trudeau in 1968, the extension of highway 401 to Kitchener ca. 1960, and the Queen's visit to Kitchener in 1959), and studio technicians at work. Some photographs include identification on verso and some include typed captions.
