Research : map and parking facilities study plan.

File consists of a map of Kitchener-Waterloo depicting dates and types of aerial photography that had been mapped, and a study plan of parking facilities on Lancaster and Arnold streets in Kitchener. Both items prepared by the City of Kitchener, planning department.

Trip to Tokyo to train IBM faculty.

Photographs documenting a one-week trip that several faculty members at the University of Waterloo took, including Donald Cowan and Shirley Fenton, to Tokyo, Japan to train IBM faculty. Some of the faculty members who participated in this trip also presented at a conference. Includes images of students working at computers, Donald Cowan standing in front of a computer while running a program from Waterloo, Shirley Fenton teaching as well as Donald Cowan and his wife with Shirley Fenton and guests at a restaurant. Also includes one sticker for the SATT Software Racing Team.

Artesian Well on Caroline St., Waterloo.

Image of Waterloo PUC and town officials at the tapping of an artesian well on Caroline St. in 1919. The group is seen standing on either side of the well, which is gushing with water. The well was capped in 1934; the accompanying news story also shows the gusher resulting from this same well being struck during construction of Waterloo Town Square in 1961.

File consists of material relating to speeches and remarks made by Carl A. Pollock at the University of Waterloo (UW) for building and exhibit openings, convocation ceremonies, dinners and luncheons, senate meetings, contests, and other events.

Includes typed copies of Pollock's remarks (some annotated, some carbon copies), ms. notes, event programs (some annotated), approximately 21 pieces of incoming and outgoing correspondence, a UW press release, and two photographs of Pollock with students at an exhibit. File also includes press clippings about Pollock and about the University of Waterloo.

File consists of material relating mainly to the purchase by Westmount Enterprises Limited of lots from Maple Heights Limited. The lots are in the proposed subdivision Maple Hill Acres No. 3 in the City of Waterloo. Includes correspondence, memoranda, agreements of purchase and sale, amendments to agreements, offers to purchase, plans of the subdivision (some showing redivisions of lots), handwritten notes, lists of lots with costs and prices, a copy of a grant of easement, etc.

Photos include: Electrohome display at the 1965 Pacific National Exhibition, two men standing with a boxed organ in front of a Hudson's Bay Company truck, 1965 Waterloo county Dairy Princess, Waterloo College Associate Faculties' (now UW) new Chemistry and Chemical Engineering Building, "Santiago [?] presented to Al Ecuyer, Edmonton Eskimo" and more.
