Royal Visit

File contains negatives depicting Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip's visit to Kitchener, as well as the re-dedication ceremony of the Kitchener cenotaph, during the Royal Tour of Ontario in 1973. Scenes include the Queen greeting various dignitaries including the Kitchener mayor, archdeacons, reverends, and veterans. Also included are views of the surrounding area and gathered crowd, as well as the Oxlea Tower, the Kitchener's Farmers’ Market and panorama shots of the event.

RMS history photos.

File consists of photographs of the products, facilities, and people of RMS from 1918 until the late 1960's or early 1970's. Includes photographs of the products manufactured at RMS; photographs of the RMS facilities, including interior and exterior shots, as well as some photographs taken at other Uniroyal facilities (e.g. St. Jerome, Elmira); and photographs (including group portraits) of employees in various departments, such as office staff, engineering & drafting, tool makers, and the operating council, and employees at work.

Some photographs were taken for use in company publications and sales and marketing material. File also includes some contact prints and one page of ms. notes. Some photographs include ms. annotations on verso. Some duplicate photographs are present.

Photographs of a commercial building at the corner of King and Water taken decades apart. The first, from the 1900s, is a copy of a photo of the building when occuped The Berlin Granite & Marble Works. The second, taken in 1947, should the building occupied by TNT. Surplus Ltd.
