Collection contains prints of Canadian landscapes done by William Henry Bartlett in 1841 and portraits of prominent 17th and 18th century politicians from Europe and Canada. Also included are letters from English prime ministers dating around the 1700s. The collection is arranged in one series consisting of print engravings, a file of Bartlett prints, and a scrapbook containing letters.

Ephemera : etchings.

File consists of two etchings accumulated by Florence Grace Clement. One is a plate taken from a book with identifying notes showing Louisa Elizabeth, Baroness Durham engraved by Thomson from a painting by Sir Thomas Lawrence, 1831. The other is an advertisement for an exhibit of oil and watercolour drawings and modern etchings at the City of London Fine Art Gallery by H. Gillard Glindoni from 1882.

File consists of one print showing Chatterton in his room composing the Rowleian manuscripts.
Caption reads "Bristol: published 1st September, 1846, by C. Mitchell, 37 College Green. To the right worshipful John Haberfield, esq. third time mayor of Bristol. This engraving of Chatterton composing the Rowleian manuscripts. in the lumber room of his mother's house, Colston's Parade, the Church of St. Mary's, Redcliffe, which contains the celebrated Muniment Room, being seen through the window is respectfully dedicated, by his obligated servant, the publisher."

Manuscript poem entitled, "On Parting from My Sister and Her Children." Also included are two pencil drawings, one of which depicts a church and graveyard scene in a village located three miles from Dublin. The poem and drawings have been bound into a book. In the front cover of the book is a newspaper clipping of an obituary for Isabella Jane and Caroline Olivia Clare.

The photograph consists of four separate shots of Ruth in different poses that have been developed together as one photograph and mounted on a large board around which Carrie Flagler Schantz has painted pink flowers. The mount is dated September 30, 1899 and includes two lines from the poem, Seven Times One by Jean Ingelow: “I've said my seven times over and over; Seven times one are seven.”

File consists of three small card folded horizontally featuring a woodcut illustrion of a fish and a religious verse. Lettering reads "Salvator noster hodie natus est: gaudeamus. Neque enim fas est locum esse tristitiae, ubi natalis est vitae. Nemo ab hujus alacritatis participatione secernitur: una cunctis laetitiae communis est ratio. Ersultet (sic) sanctus, quia appropinquat ad palmam; gaudeat paccator, quia invitatur ad beniam."

Translation: This day our Saviour was born: let us rejoice. For it is impossible to be sad to, where is the birthday of life. No one from participating in our category, all a joy to both systems. Rejoice, O thou holy, because it approaches nearer to the palm;'s joy is a sinner, for he is invited to pardon.

File consists of one dance programme in the format of a large painting listing the dances, and featuring an illustration of a student using a transit to look at a flying diploma while his military instructor urges him on. Painting is unsigned but is attributed to W.H.E. Schmalz.

Twenty drawings and sketches by Orpheus Moyer Schantz. Included are portraits, studies of animals, technical drawings for a boat, one ink drawing of the back of a woman in a gown, two drawings after C.D. Gibson- "When Doctors Disagree" and "Mr. Pipp just after dinner steps our for a few moments with a change acquaintance. He returns at 2 A.M.", and two with leaf varieties and poetry. Smaller drawings were originally found in an old men's silk handkerchief box with other ephemera.

One photograph album kept by an unknown woman with pictures of famous women. The album is made with wooden boards which feature paintings of a sunset over water and a song sparrow with calligraphic poetry. Each page includes a photograph of a different woman surrounded by a hand drawn frame that speaks to her life and work. Women in the album include Florence Nightingale, Elizabeth Barrett Browning, Dame Millicent Garrett Fawcett, Elizabeth Garrett Anderson, Lady Florence Baker, Mary Somerville, Emily Davies, Johanna Maria Lind, and Rosa Bonheur.

Pen drawing by Orpheus Moyer Schantz titled, The Girl He Left Behind Him. The drawing features a woman sitting in a field with ships visible in the distance. Artist's note underneath signature confirms this drawing was modeled after the works of Charles Dana Gibson.

Pen drawing featuring the lines of the poem titled, A Slumber Song as well as butterfly and 16 point compass rose motifs. The drawing also includes a monogram possibly made by combining the letters F, A, C, S and the date October 5, 1902.

The poem featured in the drawing was originally titled, Sleep Sweet and was written by Ellen M. Huntington Gates. The creator of this drawing changed the title and a few words in the lines of the original poem titled, Sleep Sweet by Ellen M. Huntington Gates.

A scrapbook containing press clippings, cards, postcards, telegrams, tickets, programs, report cards, certificates, a diploma, invitations, correspondence including notes of congratulations to Betty Forbes on her engagement to Bill Land, the birth certificates of Millicent Lyall Forbes and Betty Forbes, and other textual material. Also includes three watercolour paintings by Willie Winklemann and photographs of the Forbes family featuring Peg Forbes and Joe Wilson's wedding and other family events.

Bowlby, George Herbert.

File consists of one painted portrait of George Herbert Bowlby in his army uniform. The painting appears to be watercolour on ivorine, and the signature reads E.C. Blisley, 1917. Bowlby died in 1917 during First World War and this is possibly a commemorative portrait.

File consists of one mock up for The Order of Industrial Heritage award as presented by the London Daily Herald. This second version shows the original holy ghost dove has been replaced by a star. Also includes one colour copy of the print and a caption created by Thomas Fisher Rare Book Library.
