General note
55-7036_002 appeared on Page 1 of the Wednesday, June 29, 1955 edition of the newspaper as part of the article: "Isle Erased, Plan Traffic Pattern Tests".
General note
Photo caption from published version of 55-7036_002: "KITCHENER TRAFFIC EXPERIMENT - The Frederick street island, which formerly held the city's cenotaph, was removed this week. A smaller, temporary island of sand bags will be set up to experiment with a new traffic pattern for the difficult intersection. Eventually a permanent island half the size of the original is planned."
