One photograph of the Budds Department Store annual picnic, held August 20, 1947. The photograph shows 82 people, including men, women, and children. The picnic attendees appear to include the owners and employees of the three Budds Department Store locations, as well as their families. The photograph was taken outside in an undisclosed location and the subjects appear relaxed and informal.

File consists of material relating to the production of advertising material for the Reverse Osmosis Division of Electrohome. Includes photographs, copy negatives, contact sheets, and a slide of reverse osmosis systems and applications; single-sheet advertisements for ultrafiltration systems soluble oil waste treatment and for maple sap concentration by reverse osmosis; and blank letterhead. Some of the photographs depict reverse osmosis systems at Bud Automotive (Kitchener, ON), TRW Canada Ltd. (St. Catharines, ON), Schwitzer (Stratford, ON), and an unidentified plant in Windsor, ON.
Some photographs have been mounted on board and retouched. Duplicate photographs are present.

A sound recording of an interview conducted by Dr. Anne Millar with Brandon Sweet, Associate Director, Internal and Leadership Communications at the University of Waterloo, for the Oral History Hub pilot project. The interview includes discussions about Sweet's family background, their decision to come to Waterloo and the path that brought them here, as well as their thoughts about the institution and where it will be at 100 years old, in 2057. Additional topics include Wilfrid Laurier University, electronic music, rave culture, communications, speech writing, Federation of Students, student movement, culture wars, diversity, student referenda, University Senate, United Arab Emirates Satellite Campus, University of Waterloo fifth anniversary, COVID-19, the Gazette, the Daily Bulletin and Beyond the Bulletin. The interview was conducted virtually from Waterloo, Ontario. File also contains a transcript of the interview.
