Scope and content
A limited-edition commemorative print created by local artist Nicole Beno that celebrates the University of Waterloo experience through a collage of iconic campus landmarks, spaces, and imagery familiar to alumni. Featuring images of the Davis Centre, Dana Porter Library, Grad House, the Mike & Ophelia Lazaridis Quantum-Nano Centre, and other recognizable places and symbols, the artwork reflects the diverse and personal memories that shape student experience.
Commissioned by Alumni Relations for the graduating classes of 2020 and 2021, the print was presented to graduates as they crossed the convocation stage during ceremonies held in 2022. The gift served as a special acknowledgment of the unique circumstances faced by these cohorts, whose final years as students were disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic, while also commemorating their enduring connection to the university. Produced in a limited edition of 4,321 signed and numbered prints, this example is numbered 1.
