    Scope and content

A chocolate bar wrapper created by Vincent Mourou, co-founder of Marou chocolate and son of Gérard Mourou, with the help of co-founder Sam Maruta and Rice Creative partner Joshua Breidenbach to commemorate Gérard Mourou (Haut-collège of École Polytechnique) and optical physicist Donna Strickland’s Nobel Prize in Physics for their Chirped Pulse Amplification (CPA) technique. The design of the wrapper featured Mourou and Strickland’s condensed three-page prize winning paper with much of the technical jargon replaced with the word “chocolate.”

The wrapper in the file only includes the altered copy of the three-page paper that was wrapped around the gold foil lining the chocolate bar. It does not include the additional two-sided enclosure that featured white paper with gold ink listing the name of the chocolate bar, the event, and the flavour inside on the exterior side and luminescent triangles on the interior side.
