File consists of material compiled during the process of research into the early history of the Pollock family. Includes ms. and typed notes; photocopies of pages from directories, census records, periodicals, and other publications; photocopies of press clippings; correspondence; museum pamphlets; and other photocopied documents.

Includes two mounted photographs taken on the streets of Berlin (Kitchener), including a shot of the Berlin market, town hall, and post office, a photograph of Alex Welker in his LeRoy car, a group portrait of students at Lady Belle [school?], a photograph of the interior of one of Electrohome's plants, and other photographs. File also includes a Christmas card from Elizabeth Pollock to John Koegler, and a page removed from a printed souvenir album containing a picture of C.E. Hoffman's button and suspender factory on Queen Street in Kitchener.

Page is annotated: "Pollock Mfg. Co. - 1908-1909 / upper floor - now SW corner Queen & Charles". File probably belonged to John Koegler.

Fonds consists of records relating to the administration, operation, products, and history of Electrohome Limited and its subsidiary companies, as well as its predecessors, Pollock-Welker Limited, the Grimes Radio Corporation Limited, and the Phonola Company of Canada Limited. Includes letters patent and by-laws, share certificates and registers, board of directors' minutes, legal records, financial statements, correspondence, memoranda, advertisements and product literature, internal and external publicity materials, news releases and press kits, press clippings, speeches, sales kits and manuals, photographs and other visual materials, ephemera, architectural and technical drawings, sound recordings, computer disks, and artifacts.

Series consists of visual material produced and accumulated by various personnel and departments within Electrohome. Some of the material may have been used by Robert Lovell, Public Relations Manager (1963 to ca. 1988), or his successors, as it appears that some photographs were taken for internal and external publicity purposes.

Some of the material appears to have been pulled from elsewhere in collection, probably for use in Raymond Stanton's book Visionary Thinking: The Story of Canada's Electrohome, or for other purposes associated with the 90th anniversary celebration or researching company history. Includes photographs, slides, negatives, transparencies, contact sheets, and printing proofs.

Includes files of research material about the history of Electrohome, probably compiled by Nicola McLaughlin for Stanton's use, and files of visual material used in the book, pulled from other files in the collection most likely by McLaughlin.
