The Master of Ceremony was the Honourable Justice Patrick Flynn. Andrew Telegdi delivered a eulogy for Hilde English during the memorial service. The file also includes draft copies of Telegdi’s eulogy for Hilde English, handwritten notes, and related correspondence. Andrew Telegdi was close friends with Hilde English and her husband John English.

Agreement between Canadian National Realty and the City of Waterloo.

Material created or accumulated by Andrew Telegdi during his tenure as an Elected Alderman representing the City of Waterloo related to an agreement made between Canadian National Realty (CNR) and the City of Waterloo on November 4, 1985. The agreement involved a land exchange and a commitment by CNR to construct a building at the corner of Regina Street and William Street in Waterloo, Ontario to house the new city hall. However, Telegdi and others contested the land sale price and were concerned about the discovery of coal tar on the construction site and later in the regional water pumping station and wells. Records include correspondence, reports, and notes.
