Shoults' work as a Minister with the Christian Church, though reference is also made to his work as a teacher, to family affairs, to farming and gardening activities, to shopping and errands, to prices of food and farm goods, to his personal finances, to social visits (Rev. Shoults had many friends and acquaintances), and to weather conditions.
