Marion Conroy fonds.

Consists of Marion Conroy's copies of material given to delegates at the National Conference of Regional Chairmen, Consumer Branch, Wartime Prices and Trade Board held in 1944, and includes the agenda and outline of issues for the Conference, as well as a separate report submitted by Kate Aitken, Supervisor of the Conservation Programme, on the establishment and progress across Canada of "Remake Centres." These centres were for teaching women to conserve new yard goods by making over existing garments.

The fonds also contains a scrapbook kept by Marion Conroy of clippings and ephemera dating from 1941-1944. As well as documenting Marion Conroy's activities, the scrapbook contains information on the organization and personalities involved in the Board and the Consumer Branch, such Donald Gordon and Byrne Hope Sanders. Also present are news accounts of the many rules and regulations applied to all aspects of the production and consumption of consumer goods, from fashion, food and drink, and housing, to the delivery and return of purchased goods.

A gavel plaque given to Paul Koch (BASc ’63) in recognition of his role as the first B Term President for the Engineering Society of the University of Waterloo (now Waterloo Engineering Society) from 1958-1959. In addition to the gavel, the plaque also features an engraving plate with the following inscription: PAUL KOCH / PRESIDENT / ENGINEERING SOCIETY / OF THE / UNIVERSITY OF WATERLOO / 1958-59.

Student Wives Cook Book.

A cookbook created by members of the Student Wives Club in 1964 that included recipes for meat dishes, vegetables, desserts, and odds and ends. Examples of recipes include hamburger vegetable pie, cheese salad supreme, nervous pudding, potato fudge, and pink lady punch.

The cookbook was printed with a Gestetner offset printing machine and features pink polka dot covers.

Correspondence and clippings regarding negotiations between the FAUW and the University of Waterloo regarding the representation of librarians by the FAUW in keepig with article 12.2(a) of the FAUW Memorandum of Agreement. Of note are memos exchanged by Fred McCrourt, FAUW president, and Jim Kalbfleisch, Vice-President Academic & Provost, regarding two November meetings between the negotiating teams, subsequent communications related to the outcome and disagreement about whether negotiations had, in fact, concluded.
