Two copy negatives of old photographs. One shows elephants walking double file down a dirt road beside [electric railway?] tracks headed by two single elephants with ladies riding on top. The negative is annotated: "Circus Parade. King St. near Water St. 1904." The other, taken from the same position, shows uniform wearing [firemen?] horseback riding a double file down a dirt road while carrying flags that read: "Fighting the Flames".

The text reads, "Dear Sister: Thank you for that beautiful neck-tie you sent me. This is a picture of a few at the shop, taken at Supper time, while we were at night work. Lawrence." The postcard image is of 13 men and women in the interior of the C.H. Doerr Company plant.

In the foreground are men and women sitting on makeshift benches, in the background are several individuals on a podium with a large lectern, surmounted by an arbour of branches. The whole group is in a wooded area. The photograph is annotated on the back: "Waterloo, Ont., Aug. 11/07" with a monogram, possibly CKR[itzer?]. It is possible the photograph commemorates an event connected to the 50th anniversary of the incorporation of the Village of Waterloo in 1857.
