The negatives depict the royal couple at the Canadian National Railway (CNR) station in Kitchener boarding the royal train for the tour. Most of the negatives depict the Queen and Prince Philip waving from the back of the Caboose. The Krug Furniture factory in downtown Kitchener can be seen in the background.

Many photographs include members of the families of John C. and Carrie Breithaupt, Albert and Louisa Breithaupt, and H. Milton and Ella Anthes Cook; Alma and Eva Rieder are also present in some photographs.
Photographs were taken at Penetanguishene, Georgian Bay, on Lake Huron, Port Dalhousie and other travel destinations; at various cottages; at the Rieder home at 58 Roy Street in Kitchener; and other locations. File consists of material relating to the production of advertising material for the Reverse Osmosis Division of Electrohome. Includes photographs, copy negatives, contact sheets, and a slide of reverse osmosis systems and applications; single-sheet advertisements for ultrafiltration systems soluble oil waste treatment and for maple sap concentration by reverse osmosis; and blank letterhead. Some of the photographs depict reverse osmosis systems at Bud Automotive (Kitchener, ON), TRW Canada Ltd. (St. Catharines, ON), Schwitzer (Stratford, ON), and an unidentified plant in Windsor, ON.
