The first part of the letter is from Ann Bray and gives an update on the family and their struggles since the passing of George Bray, and congratulates Abraham on the birth of his child. She notes that Hannah is working at Marshals Mill and that Sarah, Rebecca and Rachel are all working in service. At the end of the letter are notes from Samuel Fox and Sarah Bray regarding friends moving to Canada and inquiring about job prospects there.

Nine pieces of correspondence from Jenny Pincock to Mildred and Percy Ghent. Topics include Edna Breithaupt and Wakunda, going for tea with Phoebe Watson, art, writing, plans, etc. Includes poetry. She adds a note in one letter asking to be an adopted aunt to Nancy and Arthur, "Aunt Jane, Janet or Helena," and thereafter signs the letters "Jenny Secunda," "Aunt Janet Secunda," and simply "Secunda." "Mr. and Mrs. Ghent" are addressed as "Mildred" or "Dear Inspiration Family." The letters are written from 65 Heins Ave. in Kitchener and from Madoc.

A diary containing daily entries written by Betty Forbes in 1945 during her time as a student at the School for Nurses at The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Ontario. Several entries describe Betty’s work at the hospital, student exams, patient care, and school dances. The diary includes press clippings, a convocation program, letters, telegrams, notes, pressed flowers, restaurant menus, business cards, event programs, and a photograph likely of Betty and an unknown individual. In addition, numerous entries describe events and activities related to the Second World War including an entry written on Victory in Europe Day (VE Day) on May 8, 1945, an entry written on Victory over Japan Day (VJ Day) on August 15, 1945 as well as entries describing food rationing, and the death of Franklin D. Roosevelt, 32nd president of the United States (1933–45). Also includes one United States Army Anti-Aircraft Command sleeve insignia. The insignia is circular with an embroidered white background, blue border, and two red capital letter A's in the centre.

The letter describes the history of the Spanish River Lumber Company that operated near the Sauble River, between 1882 and the 1940's, focusing on the 20th century history of the company. Account makes reference to the Spanish River Indian Reserve, Wahnapitae, Ontario, the Great Lakes Storm of 1913 and the Mississauga Timber Reserve. The letter dated May 6, 1939 is headed "Confidential" and describes conditions in Shanghai and Nanking (Nanjing) in China as witnessed by and reported to Emma Kaufman.
