Two business cards of Orpheus Moyer Schantz from when he was employed by Carson, Pirie & Company (now Carson, Pirie, Scott & Company). One card is professionally printed and shows the company's office, the other has been hand lettered on a small piece of painted canvas. In 1890 the company became Carson, Pirie & Scott, and in 1904 they moved to the landmark Carson, Pirie, Scott and Company Building. Now called Carson's, the company continues to be an important Chicago business.

Four collage calendars from 1898, 1900, 1910 and 1912. 1898 features a drawing of bees, grasshoppers, and reeds by Orpheus Moyer Schantz, as well as a large ribbon and the inscription "Learning by study must be won, t'was never entail'd from sire to son." The verso is inscribed "Aunt Etta, Merry Christmas from Ruth." 1900 shows a photograph of Ruth Schantz and is inscribed "A Happy Year! 1900." The verso reads "Grandpa, from Ruth, Christmas 1899." 1910 shows a painting of a woman holding an umbrella and the verso is inscribed "Grandpa Schantz from Worth." 1912 shows a photograph of a young boy taking a photograph of a young girl and is captioned "The young photographer."

Twenty drawings and sketches by Orpheus Moyer Schantz. Included are portraits, studies of animals, technical drawings for a boat, one ink drawing of the back of a woman in a gown, two drawings after C.D. Gibson- "When Doctors Disagree" and "Mr. Pipp just after dinner steps our for a few moments with a change acquaintance. He returns at 2 A.M.", and two with leaf varieties and poetry. Smaller drawings were originally found in an old men's silk handkerchief box with other ephemera.

One envelope with the name "Austin" containing one folded dinner menu. The menu is hand lettered and the recto reads " Austin T. Schantz April 21, 1894." The interior lists a series of riddles, the answers to which are not given, but which assumedly are the plates for dinner. The menu is lettered in Orpheus Schantz's hand.

Abraham's daughter Metta created the album, along with eight others, that were sent to friends and family.
