In addition, numerous entries describe events and activities related to the Second World War including an entry written on D-Day (June 6, 1944). Some of these entries contain attached items such as press clippings related to military personnel and banknotes including a 1 lire banknote issued by Italy in 1939, 5-francs Type 1942 issued by Banque de l'Algérie, a 10-AM lire banknote as well as a one shilling and a half shilling Japanese government-issued Oceanian Pound.

An issue of the Canadian Audubon produced by the Canadian Audubon Society, a national non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of public understanding of the value and need of conservation. Issue contains a picture of Prince Philip, consort of Queen Elizabeth II, with Pilot Tom Smith, Peg Forbes, George Alexander Forbes, and Millicent Lyall Forbes in the background on page 140. Two event programs featuring a seating plan and menu are also included.
