Fonds consists of one painting by Peter Etril Snyder of the Dana Porter Library. The work was commissioned in 1975 for the home of the then President of the University, Burt Matthews.

Series consists of print photographs, copy negatives and a contact sheet of images related to the opening and construction of the Dana Porter Library. Includes Kitchener-Waterloo Record shots of a ceremonial procession of university administrators such as Dana Porter, Ira Needles, Ted Batke and Doris Lewis walking from Modern Languages to the Dana Porter Library and a group shot of J.E. Brown, Doris Lewis, Bertha Bassam, James Allan and R.H. Blackburn standing together and conversing with a view of Waterloo's mace include. The copy negatives are of a photograph of additional levels being added to Dana Porter Library existing three levels still with tarps over one half of the structure.
