Copy negatives of American Hotel building block. Two negatives are of a photograph of the exterior of A. Tyson's Grocery on Page 81 of "Berlin today Centennial number in celebration of the old boys' and girls' reunion August, 6th, 7th, 8th, 1906". The third is of a photograph of the exterior of the American Hotel on the page of an unidentified book.

Includes : two pieces of correspondence (handwritten and typed originals) between Stan Johannesen and The Canadian Review of American Studies including one typed original in reply from Stan Johannesen; two drafts of essay titled "Cabinet-making and Expressive Form, 1760-1790" (34 pages each, typed, one copy with handwritten corrections by Stan) presented at a 1977 ASA meeting; one photocopy of an article (six pages) written by Stan Johannesen from Canadian Collector magazine titled "Unknown Furniture Master of Waterloo County"; one book review of Peter H. Wood's "Black Majority: Negroes in Colonial South Carolina from 1670 through the Stono Rebellion" written by Stan from William and Mary Quarterly, April 1975; and
*one photocopy of an essay titled "Cultural Accommodation in Mid-colonies Chairs, 1695-1942".

Also included in the file are four 21x26cm b&w photographs of cabinets and other ephemera.

Includes one untitled essay about the artifact in Native American culture" (27 pages, typed), essay notes (38 pages, handwritten and typed), 19 pieces of correspondence (ms and ts originals) to Stan Johannesen from academic colleagues, historical associations, and others, including nine original letters from Stan, and four unattributed (likely Johannesen) sketches of furniture.

File consists of one typescript of Gladys Lilian King's work "Among the beavers: Canadians and others. Being a personal narrative of the work done by the Military Women Police in and around the Beaver Hut in the Strand, London." The book details King's time in England during the First World War working at the "Beaver Hut" a refuge for Commonwealth soldiers. The work is signed by King and a note on the flyleaf reads "This history is sent to you [Lady Aberdeen Library on the History of Women] in revered memory of Lena Frances Campbell (Sergeant C.) Called to Higher Service on September 21, 1953. N.B. My very dear friend and coworker, over the years, for a period of 36 1/2 years. Gladys L. King. Fremington. 62, Tilehurst Road, Reading, Berks. England."
