Series consists of material created and accumulated by Peter Hand in his role as Chair of the Environmental Portfolio from 1997-1999 and co-chair in 2000-2001. The Environmental Portfolio was responsible for addressing issues of water quality, forest, land use, waste management and wildlife; during this period, much of the focus was on land use, especially resort development on the Muskoka lakes.

The series contains material relating to MLA responses, sometimes in partnership with other local associations, to proposed developments at the Lake Joseph Club, the Lake Rosseau Beach Resort, the Muskoka Sands Resort, and other locations. Responses include submissions to the Township of Muskoka Lakes and the District Municipality of Muskoka relating to re-zoning applications and amendments to site plans, as well as appeals to the Ontario Municipal Board.

Series includes correspondence and memoranda, reports, notices, handwritten and typed notes, photocopied newspaper clippings, meeting minutes and agendas, draft amendments and by-laws, photocopied plans and maps, and other material. Most material is faxed or photocopied.

Series consists of materials created and accumulate by Ecoplans Ltd., a company formed by Dorney in 1970. Dorney was president until 1979 and then Chairman of the Board. Major projects of Ecoplans included urban forestry, water quality and environmental design as well as numerous highway and pipeline projects for the Province of Ontario. Approximately 100 plans were completed between 1970 and 1987 in which Dorney was able to "explore and demonstrate how environmentally science can be the basis of rational, less costly and pleasing development." Series contains publications and drafts of plans and projects undertaken by Ecoplans as well as some working and personal materials.

This series includes the diaries of Rev. J. H. Shoults over the period 1870-1884. There are nineteen diaries in total and they are kept in copy books, bound diary books, and notebooks. The majority of diary entries relate to Rev. Shoults' work as a Minister with the Christian Church, though reference is also made to his work as a teacher, to family affairs, to farming and gardening activities, to shopping and errands, to prices of food and farm goods, to his personal finances, to social visits (Rev. Shoults had many friends and acquaintances), and to weather conditions.

Series consists of television advertisements for Dare Foods Limited cookie, cracker and candy products. Television commercials were produced by MacLaren Advertising, Media House Productions, Enterprise Advertising, Benton & Bowles, D’Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles Canada Inc., TQS le mouton noir de la télé, and Télé-Métropole Inc. Commercials were broadcast throughout Canada, the United States, Japan and Germany and are in French, English, Spanish, Japanese and German. Series includes film reels, videocassettes, a CD-ROM and colour photographs.

Series consists of one scrapbook that was used to record the history of The Dare Company Limited, Major Foods Limited, Dare Foods Limited, and subsidiary companies. The scrapbook contains newspaper and magazine advertisements, new product announcements, appointment notices, and article clippings. The date and source of each clipping is noted. The scrapbook also includes samples of product packaging, articles on the opening of the biscuit plant in Surrey, B.C., and 3 black and white photographs. The scrapbook was most likely produced at the Kitchener head office and is organized chronologically.

Series consists of memoranda, descriptions, advertisements, colour prints and negatives of store display contests. The contests were run nation-wide by the Sales Department for sales personnel to encourage creative displays and to motivate increased sales.

Series consists of information sheets for cracker, candy, and cookie products. The sheets were used by sales personnel across Canada to advertise products to potential buyers. Sheets include colour images of products and product specifications. Three copies of a colour photograph of cracker products, and display signs are also included. These records replaced the earlier picture books and were also distributed by the sales office.

The lists are organized chronologically and then by region: Lakehead and West, East of Lakehead, Newfoundland, and Quebec. New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island regions are also included.

The minutes consist primarily of decisions regarding the appointment of board members, salaries of board members, by-laws, issuing of stock, the name change from the C.H. Doerr Company, Limited to The Dare Company, Limited as well as other issues. The minutes were typewritten by the Secretary and signed by the President.
