Emeka Hugh Okongwu graduated with a doctoral degree (PhD) in Electrical Engineering from the University of Waterloo in October 1977. Okongwu's thesis was titled, "Optimal Excitation Control of a Microalternator with Experimental Verification." Okongwu's doctoral oral defence proceedings took place on July 25, 1977 at 11:00am in E2 room 3324.
