Consists of one print of Tintern Abbey, Monmouthshire, as seen from across the River Wye. Two men in a boat can be seen fishing on the river in the foreground. The print was published October 1784 by S. [Samuel] Hooper. The Abbey is referenced by Wordsworth in a poem and was used as inspiration for other poets and painters.

Material accumulated by Andrew Telegdi during his tenure as a Member of Parliament related to Telegdi’s visit to the Republic of Hungary on the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of the Fight for Freedom. Telegdi visited Hungary between October 10-14, 2006. Records include invitations, programs, and briefing books containing itineraries, country profile sheets, press clippings, objectives, and information on the Parliament of Hungary and the chronology of parliamentary exchanges between Canada and Hungary. One travel diary written by an unknown person. The diary recounts a trip to France and Switzerland, with a particular emphasis on mountain climbing in the Swiss Alps. An accompanying item of correspondence addressed to George from Vivian de Sola Pinto of Nottingham University indicates that the traveler saw a woman he presumed to by Mary Shelley in Berne, possibly dating the diary to when Shelley was living in Geneva.

Snapshots likely taken by Cameron Hill while he was stationed in England at No. 11 Operational Training Unit RAF (11 OTU). The photographs feature Cameron Hill, fellow air crew, aircraft, landscapes, houses and historic churches such as Salisbury Cathedral and Wimborne Minster. Also includes a set of twelve souvenir photographs featuring landmarks in London, England that were possibly purchased by Cameron Hill during a leave.

Consists of material relating to the research for, writing and publication of two volumes relating to the Petworth Emigration Scheme: Assisting Emigration to Upper Canada : the Petworth Project, 1832-1837 / by Wendy Cameron and Mary McDougall Maude, and English immigrant voices : labourers letters from Upper Canada in the 1830's, both of which were published by McGill-Queen's University Press in 2000.

The files retained by the Project fall into three broad categories :

1) the "results of genealogical research in England and the family history files used in creating the list in Part 2 of Assisting emigration;
2) files relating to research in Canadian genealogical resources;
3) files dealing with the process and creation of the books."

Included are correspondence among the primary researchers and to and from individuals relating to families and individual emigrants, data sheets and electronic databases relating to Petworth emigrants and sponsors, photocopies of original correspondence and documents, research notes, drafts and working papers relating to the editing of the final manuscripts.

Spiritualist manuscript : Mr. and Mrs. Pagesmith and circle.

A manuscript notebook that records the details of séances held by a group of individuals in Weston-super-Mare, England between April 16, 1924 and February 27, 1925. The handwritten entries in the notebook describe the manner in which a circle was opened to begin the séance, any images seen or sensed, whether or not a spirit appeared, all questions and answers made by sitters and spirits, and often include a general summation of the séance. An index featuring a list of topics raised during the séances and the name of the spirit who discussed the topic is available at the back of the notebook. Inserted between page 250 and 251 is a poem handwritten on a blue card dated February 17, 1945 and addressed to Dora written by J. & A.P. In addition, the notebook contains a photograph pasted onto the verso of the flyleaf. The photograph shows four men and eight women, possibly the members of the Spiritualist circle in Weston-super-Mare, England.

Snapshots were taken during John's training in Canada and his time in Europe, and show sporting events; fellow officers and soldiers; towns, buildings, and countryside in Normandy, Belgium and Holland; tanks and other equipment; a post-war ceremony; and other subjects.

Scrapbook includes a telegram from John's parents informing him of his brother Jamie's death, ts. Information relating to battles, a letter to Jessie Martin regarding John's DSO, and other items. Clippings relate to John's involvement in the war and his decoration with the DSO by the Governor General Viscount Alexander. The scrapbook pages are not in order and have been left as found. Some pages contain identification for the photographs.
