Luther Marsh slides : tray number 2.

Consists of slides of flora, fauna, farming and recreational activities at Luther Marsh and its surroundings, which were employed in a slide show. Identifications are provided on an ms. list on the interior lid of the slide tray; but many of those listed are not present. Includes slides of migratory birds, blue herons and their nesting grounds, various trees and plant life and crop harvesting.
According to the original GRCA listing, the slides were taken by Bill Miller.

Consists of 4 ts. (original and photocopies) papers presented by Grand River Conservation Authority staff members at a Land Use Planning Conference sponsored by the GRCA at the Waterloo Motor Inn, Waterloo, Ont., March 21, 1973.

The papers are titled :

Consists of a ts.(photocopy) report concerning an alternative or supplemental water supply from Lake Erie for the community of Brantford, Ont., prepared by N.A. Grandfield, P.Eng., General Manager and Secretary of the Brantford Public Utilities Commission for the Chairman and Members of the Brantford Public Utilities Commission, Janurary 27, 1967. Sections of the report have been underlined or otherwise marked.

Lake Erie & Northern : May 8, 1990 and last run, July 31, 1990.

Consists of a DVD transfer of a videocassette recording of train journeys filmed from the caboose of a train travelling on the Lake Erie & Northern (CPR) rail line from Cambridge to Brantford, Ontario on May 8, 1990 and on the last train run on the line, July 31, 1990. The film shows the track and the natural and constructed areas immediately surrounding it.

The track was subsequently removed and converted to the Grand River Conservation Authority Cambrdige to Paris Rail-Trail in 1994 and the SC Johnson Rail-Trail in 1996 according to information provided by the GRCA on the box listing supplied with the fonds.

Acres & Company Ltd., presented at the Engineering Institute of Canada, May 11, 1955. The paper deals in part with the Grand River. Includes blackline storm tracking diagram, and isoheytal maps and flood hydrographs of the Grand River prepared by H.G. Acres & Company Limited, May 1955. Also includes a cover letter from A.W. F. McQueen, Vice-President, H.G. Acres & Company Ltd.

Consists consists of a ts. (photoreproduction) of a memorandum of an investigation by the Hydro-Electric Commission dated June 16, 1938, concerning alternative dam sites on the Grand River above Fergus, Ont. Includes a covering letter by O. Holden, Chief Hydraulic Engineer, Hydro-Electric Power Commission of Ontario, Engineering Department.

Also includes a ts.(photoreproduction) report by the Hydro-Electric Power Commission of Ontario, Engineering Department, showing yearly minimum flow levels measured at various points on the Grand River, 1914-1936. The report is accompanied by a covering letter by O. Holden dated August 13, 1938.

Also present is a letter from the Ontario Department of Lands and Forests Surveys Branch to the Grand River Conservation Commission, dated February 23, 1939 concerning cost allotment by municipality for improvements to the Grand River.
