File consists of a scrapbook containing newspaper advertisements and clippings. Includes mainly advertisements for homes from the Westmount Construction Co. but also contains advertisements for products by subsidiaries of Westmont Enterprises Limited: Jasco, Altex, and Kool-Lite Awnings. Some advertisements are annotated and some are loose. Scrapbook also includes a leaflet, copy and a layout for a Jasco advertisement, and a drawing of a window.

Series consists of material used in the production of advertisements for Electrohome appliances, including humidifiers, dehumidifiers, air conditioners, fans, microwaves, and other products. Includes photographs, transparencies, slides, and negatives, as well as drafts of advertising copy, dummies, final versions of advertisements, etc. Most of the material was used for the production of single-sheet advertisements intended for insertion into a binder with other product literature, as well as brochures advertising the "summer comfort" line of products.

Series consists of material used in the production of advertisements for display and communications products, including data and video display monitors, educational receiver/monitors, satellite receivers, Telidon videotex terminals, and accessories for these products. Includes photographs, negatives, and other visual material, as well as final versions of product literature and news releases. Most of the material was used for the production of single-sheet advertisements intended for insertion into a portfolio with other product literature.

Includes transparencies, photographs, negatives, slides, and printing proofs, as well as final versions of some advertisements, catalogues, and brochures.

File consists of 183 slides for use in advertising and sales. Includes slides of televisions, stereo receivers, clock radios, portable radios and tape players, speakers, phonographs, motors and blowers, and slides belonging to a presentation for sales staff [in the motors department?]. Slides were probably compiled for museum purposes, and some are missing.

Advertising brochures : US/Can/British, mostly concerned with housing.

Contains materials primarily in the form of manufacturers' catalogues (dating from 1920's-1940's) re housing design and garden and greenhouse design. One publication was issued by the Ladies Home Journal and relates to bungalow design in the period pre World War II. Another item takes the form of a scrapbook compiled by Mary Eleanore Westley between 1921 and 1924 which includes clippings from magazines. These take the form of illustrations showing both exterior and interior home designs which were typical for the period. Manufacturers' catalogues include listings of home appliances, bathroom designs, greenhouse designs, and of roofing materials respectively.
One clipping (1989) contained in this file relates to plans for the new General Electric Building which is to be constructed using plastics along with other building materials.
