The award was presented in recognition of Schneider's service as the city's representative on the Waterloo-Wellington Airport Commission for more than 40 years. It reads: "The Corporation of the City of Kitchener: award of merit. The mayor and council of the Corporation of the City of Kitchener gratefully award this certificate to N.C. Schneider in recognition of outstanding effort, interest and ability, freely given in the service of the City of Kitchener and its many citizens.
