Copper halfcrown from Ireland showing on the obverse the head of James II and on the reverse a crown over crossed sceptres with the date 1689 Aug. This so-called gunmoney (called such because of the belief that it was made from melted down guns) was issued during the Williamite War in Ireland and was intended to be traded in for silver coinage after James II won the war (which he did not). The fiscal year was changed in March of 1689 and the August date on the coin indicates the date for redemption.

Millinery design portfolio in brown paper created by Doris Schnelder with handwritten annotations regarding felt shapes, felt finishes, millinery principles, ribbons, wires, straws, straw fibres, straw hat seams, and places of origin of straws; magazine clippings with different styles of hats and headcovers; and mounted fabric samples showing millinery materials, types of braids and bows, and sample stitches. Portfolio was probably made as a result of a sewing course taken by Doris Schnelder, possibly in a junior college or high school.

Portfolio includes information on sailor hats, doll hats, tricornes, pillbox hats, postilion hats, berets, picture hats, toques, fedoras, calotte caps, alpine hats, turbans, half hats, Juliet caps, Scottish tam-o-shanter hats, casques, biggin caps, jockey caps, Dutch hats, cloches, Harlequin hats, mushroom hats, casquettes, blimper brim hats, snood caps, bowler hats, halo hats, bell boy caps, cowboy hats, Robin Hood hats, Eugenie hats, cartwheel hats, profile hats, postilian hats, coolie hats, and puritan hats.

Correspondence sent and received by Robert Shipley in 1983 from different persons and institutions. Includes administrative correspondence related to grants, job applications, submission of his work, letters of acceptance and rejection, invoices and payments, donation agreements, writings about his work as an educator, and letters received from politicians. Also contains personal correspondence, two coins received as a reimbursement from Canada Post, and newspaper clippings received with the correspondence from family and friends.

A gold blazer from the University of Waterloo purchased and worn by Peter (Otis) Dallas, an undergraduate student in the second kinesiology class of 1972. The jacket includes a patch with the University of Waterloo name and the logo for the School of Physical Education and Recreation on the chest pocket. The order for the student blazers was placed by Dr. Robert (Bob) Norman and Neil Widmeyer, both faculty members in the School of Physical Education and Recreation at the time. Peter Dallas wore the blazer at every alumni reunion and recently celebrated his fiftieth-year anniversary in 2022.
