Series consists of three war medals given on behalf of David Ward Clement’s service in First World War. Includes the Memorial Cross (given to Janie Elizabeth Bowlby Clement), the Victory Medal and the British War Medal (awarded posthumously to David Ward Clement).

File consists of one Memorial Cross awarded to Janie Elizabeth Bowlby Clement upon the death of her son David Ward Clement in 1917 during First World War. Includes medal, ribbon, case and a note card that reads "This cross is presented to you in memory of one who in the Great War died for King and Country" signed by Hugh Guthrie, Minister of Miltia & Defence. The verso of the mdeal reads "98079 1st. Class A.M. D.W. Clement." The Memorial Cross was given to the mother, widow, or next of kin of a Canadian soldier lost in First World War.

File consists of one Victory Medal awarded posthumously to David Ward Clement for his service in First World War. Includes the medal, ribbon and original envelope in which it was mailed to Edwin Perry Clement. Inscription on rim of medal reads "98079 Pte. D.W. Clements [sic] R.F.C." Was originally mailed with the British War Medal.

File consists of one ts. of a petition of John Miller regarding his desire for a loan for millstones. Also includes a ts. of a supporting letter. Originally dated January 6, 1801.

File consists of one ts. of a petition of Martha Burch regarding a request to deny a land claim to another mill that would distrupt the operation of hers. Originally dated July 15, 1802.

File consists of one typescript of a petition of Mordecai Sayles regarding a saw and grist mill that he has helped to build and the granting of the land that it is on. Originally dated June 3, 1800.

Petition of Nathaniel Tredwell.

File consists of one typescript of a petition by Nathaniel Tredwell, and the subsequent council minutes, regarding a request for a land grant. Original document written November 1797. Tredwell was a seigneur and fur trader who settled in L'Original, Upper Canada.

File consists of one typescript of a petition of Peter Russell, attorney regarding land claims of his clients Baldwin and Willcocks. Originally dated January 13, 1801.
