Includes the offer of sale, drafts of legal documents including a memorandum of agreement, a valuation report by Willis Chipman (civil engineer), correspondence, and a press clipping.

File consists of material relating to a contract with L.J. Mensch, general contractor (Chicago, IL), for the construction of a concrete water reservoir and elevated tank on Edward Street (later Duke Street) in Berlin. Includes a tender, agreements, a contractor's bond, and correspondence.

Kitchener waterworks extensions : application to Ontario Railway and Municipal Board.

File consists of records relating to extensions of the Kitchener waterworks, including a new pumping plant at Strange Street. Includes carbon copies of typed reports and cost and revenue estimates, correspondence, and an affidavit. Affidavit concerns an application by the City of Kitchener to the Ontario Railway and Municipal Board for the validation of a bylaw relating to this matter. Visual Material

Series consists of photographs and other visual materials relating to the Kitchener Water Commission and the Grand River Conservation Commission. Photographs relating to the Kitchener Water Commission depict construction of water works facilities, pump houses, and pumping equipment mainly at the Shoemaker (now Greenbrook) and Strange Street pumping stations. Some photographs include the water commissioners. Photographs relating to the GRCC depict the the construction of the Shand and Conestogo dams.

Series also includes a mid-19th century portrait and cartes-de-visite of unidentified women and men, perhaps friends or relatives of the Pequegnat family.

Property agreements.

File consists of three agreements relating to the transfer of the property at Frederick and Weber Streets in Kitchener (53 to 61 Frederick Street) from Michael Massel to Arthur Pequegnat in 1907, the lease of the building owned by The Berlin and Racycle Manufacturing Company on the property to Dominion Electrohome Industries Limited (1953), and the transfer of the property to the City of Kitchener in 1964. The latter agreement is a photocopy.

Includes information and specifications for bidders, tenders, contracts and other agremeents, and correspondence.

File consists of two architectural drawings by civil engineer and contractor L.J. Mensch (Chicago, IL) probably submitted as part of a tender. Drawings are entitled: "500,000 gallon tank in reinforced concrete for Berlin, Ontario, Canada" and "Reinforced concrete reservoir for Berlin, Ontario, Canada".

File consists of four 1943 photographs of the Shand dam upon completion, a 1945 photograph of a body of water (either the Grand River or Lake Belwood, or possibly a flooded area), and 13 photographs of the area surrounding the Shand dam that was flooded by the reservoir before the dam was built. Some photographs include indentifcation on verso.
